Necklaces

I've been on a necklace kick these past few days.

It's as if something has 'clicked' in my mind, and in my fingers. I've always struggled with necklaces before.

Inspired by selling a favourite piece (thanks Sally for the bead soup inspiration that led to it), I wanted to make a similar necklace to replace it on my jewellery stall.

I made five....

Here are three for your perusal. I still haven't figured out a good photo set up so these are colour and clasp shots rather than seeing how they hang.

The top necklace includes a sweet vintage button, also from Sally. And the Humblebead tigerlily focal, some blue aventurine from Sally again. I love how bead soup serves up so many helpings :-) I still have plenty left over from my last three swaps. Gorgeous.

Rebecca, the necklaces are beautiful! Oh, that vintage button is perfect with the pearls and Marsha's focal! I love the subtle mix of colors in all three of the necklaces! Gorgeous!!
I think that necklaces are one of the hardest things to photograph, the whole thing hardly ever fits in the frame!

Love it all! I have to ask though, that wire looks pretty thick to be going through FW pearls - do you use a reamer? Or are you fortunate enough to have a source of pearls that are drilled thicker than a hairsbreadth? I love your button clasp too. I might have to try that out sometime :)

Beautiful work! Know what you mean - I get on kicks as well. Right now it's clutches. :)

They are so lovely! I love the mix of colours, lovely soft complimentary shades.
I find photographing long necklaces so difficult. I resort to one picture of everything in it but too small to see the detail, and then several small photos of specific details, but I'm not quite happy with that.

Your fingers are working magic, my friend! I love them all and these are totally my style and you have my very favorite bead artisans represented... Marsha Neal, Kylie Parry, Heather Powers. What's not to like? These will be sold in a heartbeat for sure! Enjoy the day!

Beautiful! I find necklaces so hard to photograph, maybe that is why I don't make many to sell.
You make me laugh, a kilo of beads all over your house..sounds like me too!
